Assignment Responsibilities / Department Description
The Purification Process Development group develops manufacturing processes for purification of therapeutic proteins (e.g. antibodies, enzymes, and multi-specifics) from cell culture harvest and provides technical support to GMP downstream process operations. The responsibilities of the Intern will include conducting experiments using small scale chromatography columns and filtration units and/or high-throughput technologies to develop, characterize, and optimize new processes. The student may also contribute to technology development projects focused on development of next-generation bioprocessing and process development technologies, such as integrated and continuous bioprocessing, high throughput process development, and mechanistic modeling of bioprocesses. On-the-job training will be provided as necessary to teach the technical skills required to perform their duties.

About you

Basic Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in biology, chemistry, chemical or biochemical engineering, or biotech BS degree program, or a related field at an accredited college or university with the expectation that you will complete your current degree by the Spring of 2027
  • Must be enrolled in school the semester following your internship with Sanofi.
  • Must be able to relocate to the office location and work 40hrs/week, Monday-Friday, for the full duration of the internship
  • Must have permanent US work authorization


Preferred Qualifications
  • General lab experience is a plus but not required
  • Ability to organize and communicate ideas and results in a clear and concise manner
  • Ability to interact with multiple co-workers and function effectively in a team environment
