Job Description: A leading commercial real estate company is looking to add to their team by bringing on a new Manager of Accounting and Reporting. In this role, you will not only provide accounting services to stakeholders; you will also be responsible for managing a team and ensuring that both internal and external reporting packages are completely accurately and efficiently. Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle the preparation of monthly and quarterly reporting packages.
  • Oversee monthly and quarterly closing processes.
  • Review all income, expense, and balance sheet items to ensure GAAP compliance.
  • Act as a liaison for other departments, assisting in any accounting-related issues.
  • Develop and implement new internal controls, systems, and tools to enhance accounting and reporting procedures.
  • Facilitate necessary audits.
  • Manage the development accounting team, offering guidance to Staff and Senior's in addition to overseeing the function's hiring processes.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.
  • 7+ years of experience in real estate accounting, construction accounting, or another form of relative general ledger experience.
  • CPA is preferred.
  • MBA is a plus.
  • Yardi experience is a plus.
