This accounting position will perform various accounting functions such as A/R, A/P, and G/L. This position reports directly to the Controller for The Taylor Group, Inc.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for performing all accounts payable functions.
  • Receives and processes invoices for payment, charging to appropriate account number.
  • Resolves any problems with invoices prior to submission for
  • Receive and respond to customer requests for invoices, statements, W-9's,
  • Receive and respond to vendor requests regarding invoice/payment
  • Receive and record customer payments.
  • Process applications and set up new customers and vendors in the system.
  • Prepares and enters journal entries as required.
  • General ledger account analysis as required.
  • Prepare bank reconciliations.
  • Prepare reports as directed by supervisor.
  • Other duties as assigned by
Requirements

Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Be knowledgeable of the accounts payable and accounts receivable process.
  • Perform all job accountabilities with professionalism and protect the organization's/department's value by keeping information confidential.
  • Must possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to operate a computer and basic office
  • Proficiency in data entry and typing is
  • Oral and written communication skills are required to effectively interact with vendors, customers and employees.
  • Must be able to learn quickly and adapt to changes.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with customers, vendors, and
  • Must be able to work in close contact with others in a small office and be able to get along with
  • Skill in answering telephone in a pleasant and helpful
  • Ability to read, understand, and follow oral and written
  • Must be willing to work extra hours at times in order to meet deadlines.
  • Must be well organized and detail
Education and Experience:
  • Associates degree in Accounting or related business field
  • 2-4 years accounts payable or general accounting
