Description:
Teach a variety of classes in the English for Academic and Professional Purposes, Teaching ESL, and English as a Second Language program. This is for the Summer 2020.
Required education:
Master's degree in Teaching English as a Second Language, linguistics, education, English, or other languages along with TESL courses
Required experience:
-Two years of experience teaching English as a Second Language
-Ability to instruct diverse audiences
-Ability to effectively teach all areas of the English language
-Ability to teach education courses in the Louisiana ESL Endorsement series
Preferred qualifications:
-Master's of Arts in Teaching English as a Second Language
-Experience teaching abroad -Experience teaching higher education and graduate students
-Experience with oral proficiency using ACTFL or CEFR standards
-K-12 experience in the USA -Teacher certification
-Ph.D. in closely related area
