Volt is immediately hiring several Assemblers for a top aerospace manufacturer in Huntington Beach, CA..
As an Assembly Technician you will support the team with:
- Perform repetitive assembly operations to mass-produce commercial aircraft interior components such as galleys, closets, VCC's, overhead stowage bins, ceiling panels, sidewalls, etc. for commercial transport aircraft.
- Installation of screws, rivets, seals, fasteners, upholstery, electrical wiring, and other various hardware
- Ensure ECI products are built and assembled to the latest revision of released engineering drawings
- Read and interpret detailed engineering drawings to perform assembly
- Maintain and repair production equipment and tools.
- Clean and prepares production units for fabricating, painting, assembly, or shipping
- Mix and apply adhesives to manufacturers specifi cations as well as ECI requirements
- Apply edge fi ll and glue per ECI requirements
- Apply silicone sealant per ECI requirements
- Place parts in specified relationship to each other
- Verify unit dimensions before installing inserts, rivets, blind nuts, blocks, angles, doublers, and fittings
- Cut, fi t, and bond extrusion to shape per approved engineering drawings
- Bond, screw, glue or otherwise attach parts together
- Drill, countersink, and rivet metal or sheet metal parts as required
- Install attachment fittings, as assigned
We are hiring for 1st shift; 6:30am - 3:30pm and 2nd shift 3:30pm-2:00am
Requirements:
- Previous mechanical assembly experience, preferably in the aerospace industry
- Ability to read drawings and blueprints
Pay Rate: $19-22/hr
** Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
