Job Description:

Are you a passionate, innovative biomedical engineer ready to tackle one of the biggest challenges in science?

The Novel Innovations for Tissue Regeneration in Osteoarthritis (NITRO) program, a groundbreaking initiative by the Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health (ARPA-H), seeks a talented and driven Biomedical Engineer to join our team. In this crucial role, you will serve as the scientific and technical advisor-providing support and thought leadership to the delivery team responsible for research and development for revolutionary approaches to regenerate damaged joints and transform the lives of millions suffering from osteoarthritis.

About the NITRO Program: Osteoarthritis, a debilitating condition affecting millions, currently lacks effective regenerative treatments. Serve as scientific and technical advisor for cutting-edge research projects focused on injectable bone and cartilage regeneratives, or bioengineered joint replacements built from human cells.

Support ARPA-H performers and scientists via your expertise in biomaterials, cell engineering, tissue engineering, human and animal models, and drug delivery systems to develop innovative solutions for osteoarthritis treatment.

Provide strategic assessments of methods and technologies related to the development of in vitro and in vivo models for testing and optimization.

Collaborate with a diverse team of scientists, engineers, and clinicians to translate research discoveries into real-world applications.

Serve as subject matter expert in support of the development of preclinical and clinical research studies to evaluate the safety and efficacy of new therapies.

Play a key role in supporting performers within the field of regenerative medicine for osteoarthritis and impacting the lives of millions.
