Position Summary

Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine is seeking a Board-certified or Board-eligible gastroenterologist. Candidates should be proficient in general gastroenterology. Candidates with advanced GI procedure training are desired. Candidates should also have an interest in participating in academic and scholarly work.

Responsibilities will include evaluation and management of patients with a variety of GI disorders, endoscopic procedures (including advanced endoscopic procedures), and teaching of residents and students in gastroenterology. Applicant will be working with Mid-level providers. Scholarly work opportunities will be encouraged and supported. Academic appointment with Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine department of Osteopathic Medical Specialties.

The position will be full time with research and teaching time included. A competitive salary and benefits package will be offered.

Required Degree

Doctorate -Gastronenterology

Minimum Requirements

DO or MD degree; meets required qualifications for a State of Michigan medical license; board certified or board-eligible in gastroenterology. Board certification must be obtained within 24 months of completion of training in gastroenterology.

Desired Qualifications

Advanced endoscopic procedural training and sills desired but not required.
