Overview

The Associate Director, Commercial Analytics, Respiratory will be a key member of the Commercial Effectiveness organization, responsible for generating, analyzing, and transforming data into actionable insights. The incumbent will collaborate with various cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Sales, and FP&A, to understand and utilize data to deliver a proactive perspective on the business. This is a hands-on role that requires an entrepreneurial spirit and a willingness to execute all aspects of a project, from data manipulation, analytics, through to creating a narrative and driving the company to action. This position will be located in Bridgewater, NJ.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities will include, but not necessarily be limited to, the following:

  • Partner with key stakeholders and CE team members to build a robust analytical plan
  • Extract data, build models, and generate an insights narrative to help answer key business questions
  • Proactively explore opportunities and challenges within the business to focus the leadership team on prioritizing their initiatives
  • Work in collaboration with other members of CE to triangulate data between analysis, market research and competitive intelligence to deliver insights and provide recommendations to the leadership team
  • Conduct Marketing Mix analysis to measure the return on investment of tactical plans
  • Identify and anticipate business questions that will provide actionable insights to the brand strategy (e.g., source of business, national / sub-national analytics, key prescribers, patient start and adherence trends)
  • Partner with others on the CE team to deliver a robust situational analysis for the annual brand planning process
  • Develop and measure Key Performance Indicators; track performance proactively, flagging changes to any trends and exploring any "whys" behind the change
  • Periodically track market landscape (e.g., prevalence, diagnosis, treatment rates and trends)
  • Conduct ad hoc analyses as needed
  • Synthesize key analytical outputs into management-ready deliverables to help inform and drive strategic business decisions
  • Clearly communicate (oral and written) findings that support business objectives


Knowledge & Experience:

  • Extensive knowledge of pharmaceutical data (e.g., sales, specialty pharmacy, payer, promotional & marketing data, longitudinal patient-level data)
  • Experience with commercialization of pharmaceutical products (specialty drug/respiratory experience preferred)
  • Strong blend of technical proficiency, business acumen, and experience informing business decisions with data
  • Experience within the US market (experience with global markets beneficial)


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • MBA or other advanced degree (MS, PhD) preferred
  • 8 + years of commercial experience in the pharma/biotech industry (or equivalent) is required
  • Rare disease / specialty / respiratory experience preferred
Skills:
  • Proficient in working with distributed teams in a matrix environment, as well as the ability to work autonomously
  • High proficiency in SAS, R, MS-SQL or other similar statistical/data mining programming software
  • Ability to utilize different data sets (marketing data, sales, claims, access, etc.) in building models to answer key business questions
  • Solid understanding and expertise in conducting analyses with the goal of garnering actionable insights
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly organized with a strong attention to detail, clarity, accuracy and conciseness
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Salary Range

139000-195200
