Pieper Automation is expanding and is looking for its next Automation Service Engineer to help support the growth of our business in the South. We are seeking a customer service driven field technician to service and troubleshoot controls systems for various manufacturing and industrial facilities. If you have a service mindset, a knack for troubleshooting, and are looking to grow your career, we want to talk to you!
- Here's what you'll do:
- Troubleshoot and repair a variety of automation equipment
- Upgrade system hardware & software (spec, design, configure, install, support)
- Configuration of control systems and devices
- Programming, typically PLC controls
- Perform system assessments/diagnostics
- Communicate with customers to ensure satisfaction
- Complete and execute JHAs to ensure safe working conditions for yourself and others
- Complete field service reports
- Manage and execute small projects
- Receive after-hours and weekend service calls and perform emergency service
- Work independently; begin each day with a plan to execute scheduled tasks and adapt quickly to changes
