Role Overview
This Benefits Specialist position is part of our HR Operations team and would focus on administering benefits in the US. The Benefits Specialist will be responsible for the day to day management of the employee benefits programs, leave of absence administration and retirement plans. The ideal candidate should have prior experience with benefits, HR systems (specifically Paylocity) and interfacing with employees.

US-Based,100% Remote position - although a hybrid experience is possible (if preferred) depending on location.

Responsibilities:

  • Administer and manage employee benefit plans, including enrollments, changes, and terminations
  • Coordinate with insurance carriers and brokers to resolve any claims or administrative issues
  • Review vendor invoices and send for processing
  • Educate employees on their benefits options and resolve any benefits-related questions or concerns
  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations, including ERISA, ACA, and COBRA
  • Assist with open enrollment (send comms, work with Paylocity to set up portal, manage reminders, approve changes and audit enrollment)
  • Support the US Immigration processes - interfacing with attorneys and employees with support from the HR Business Partners accordingly
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources or a related field
  • At least 2 years of experience in benefits administration or exposure to a benefits admin tool
  • Prior experience with Paylocity is required
  • Strong customer service skills - highly responsive to employee inquiries
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
