We are currently seeking a Business Development Manager of Pharmaceutical & CRO who will be responsible for achieving revenue growth targets in the Pharma/Biopharma market verticals. This role involves developing a comprehensive 'Go To Market' (GTM) strategy specific to the needs of the North America region, whereby the resulting action plan should leverage both inbound and field resources to identify and capitalize on opportunities for regional growth. A primary focus will be on driving new business, enhancing customer intimacy and increasing consumable uptake in the Contract Research/Development (CXO) space, as well as within select Key Accounts (KAM).

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Develop and deploy strategies for revenue growth in the Pharma & CXO space, leveraging market size, competitive landscape, technology developments, and customer profiling to prioritize new business opportunities and drive brand awareness globally. Anticipate and address global regulatory trends and market gaps impacting the market vertical, implementing necessary action plans.
  • Understand customer value chains and critical success factors, providing feedback to Sales, Marketing, and Product Management (PM) teams to identify competitor weaknesses and opportunities, offering meaningful programs and support.
  • Collaborate with Global Pharmaceutical Market Development Manager, PM teams, and regional sales representatives to support voice of customer projects and create marketing communication plans, leveraging traditional and digital platforms for lead generation.
  • Design and deliver training (internally & externally), plan and attend conferences and tradeshows, support CRM sales funnel management, and develop strategies for key accounts, ensuring alignment and execution by regional commercial teams.
  • Establish and foster relationships with Thought Leaders and Key Opinion Leaders in the Pharma industry, supporting application development and co-publication efforts

The essential requirements of the role:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Biology or other related Science required. Advanced Degree preferred.
  • Proficient understanding of biopharma industry, with significant hands-on chromatography / HPLC method development experience, expert level preferred.
  • Proven track record of successful key account management preferred.
  • Ability to analyze, facilitate a dialogue across a group or team, communicate difficult concepts and negotiate with others to adopt a new or different point of view.
  • Ability to act as a resource for colleagues which may include coaching, mentoring, and training.

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:

  • This is predominantly a customer facing role conducting weekly in-person visits (local territory) with monthly overnight travel (broader region). Ability to travel up to 35% of time is required.
  • Must have a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record

The base salary range for this role is $130,000- $145,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for sales commission and incentive bonus pay.
