Job Description:
We are looking for a motivated and solution focused, hands-on technical leader to join us to boost effectiveness and accelerate delivery flow. Your team is fully responsible for the design, optimization and operation of the DevSecOps platform. Your DevSecOps teams engage in the product evolution, ensuring consistent and stable services that support software development, quality assurance, cybersecurity, operations and the scalability and resilience of IT infrastructure.
Responsibilities Include:
- Analyze technical and functional requirements and translate them into software solutions. Understand dependencies toward other systems and teams.
- Establish, deliver, and refine a platform engineering roadmap to ensure that all platforms and products remain current, deliver value to product engineering teams, and supports the needs of internal stakeholders in terms of scalability, resilience, cybersecurity, capacity, and operational maintenance.
- Design, develop and integrate third party components including system testing and installations.
- Automate operational tasks and develop/maintain IaC/CaC ecosystem.
- Anticipate product features by tracking dependent product strategies and roadmaps, eliciting stakeholder input, monitoring industry advancements, and collecting business needs.
- Develop automation to complete installations, security, configuration, tuning and maintenance of database management.
- Provide technical assistance to colleagues and assist in resolving problems reported by other team members.
- Prepare user documentation, installation guides and operating procedures.
- Support the delivered software and be part of a 'Center of Expertise' problem solving team. Analyze support cases and, when appropriate, provide solutions following the established case management processes.
- Initiates, supervises, and/or develops requirements from a project's inception to conclusion for complex to extremely complex programs.
- Provides strategic advice, technical guidance and expertise to program and project staff.
- Provides detailed analysis, evaluation and recommendations for improvements, optimization development, and/or maintenance efforts for client-specific or mission critical challenges/issues.
- Consults with client to define need or problem supervises studies and leads surveys to collect and analyze data to provide advice and recommend solutions.
Salary Range: $175,000-$235,000

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or similar experience.
- 5+ years experience in a DevOps/Platform role.
- Strong experience with Azure cloud technologies to include AKS, Azure DevOps and Azure Pipelines.
- Requires 5+ years of experience in software development / platform automation.
- Experience working with the following:
- DevSecOps and Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) expertise.
- Proven past performance delivering software or automation and managing release cycles, merges, commits, PRs.
- Experience developing IaC and CaC artifacts.
- Language familiarity: Python, NodeJS, Shell scripting, Java, Yaml.
- Experience with continuous integration/delivery build environment: Git/Bitbucket, Jenkins/Cloudbees, Maven.
- Familiarity with core RDBMS database concepts and experience with:
- Understanding of system administration in Linux (RHEL) and Windows environments.
- Experience with common cloud technologies like K8s, Docker, Istio, Twistlock, and Argo.
- Experience implementing CI/CD (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins, TravisCI) with vulnerability and risk management attributes.
- Experience with GitLab.
- Solid understanding of networking concepts (e.g., VPC, subnetting, routing, etc.).
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
- Strong DoD cybersecurity and RMF knowledge.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
Desired Skills: - Familiarity with Tanzu TKGS Kubernetes, vSphere, MinIO container, Harbor, Nimble storage, Blade Servers, Networking, Switches, Firewalls.
- Familiarity with Virtual Networks, Linux VMs, Cloud Server configurations, and storage arrays.
- Familiarity with operational availability, MMTR, ArgoCD, Jira, Confluence, Google Workspace Mattermost, RBAC, MFA, ICAM and Kafka.
- Familiarity with C, C++, java and FORTRAN.
- Familiarity with Trivy, SonarQube, GitLeaks, OWASP and SD Elements.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Experience with Jira or similar project management software.
- Experience providing feedback to leadership on strategic initiatives.
- Proficiency with monitoring and observability tools (Grafana, Prometheus).
- Proficiency with Bash and Python.
- Proficiency with infrastructure-as-code (e.g., Terraform, Cloudformation)
