1. Provide exceptional customer service
a. Answers telephone inquiries and take reservations for all children's supervised programs.
b. Takes messages and relays information to appropriate personnel.
c. Greet each member, guest and child into the Play Hut Nursery and make them feel welcome
d. Maintain the cleanliness in respected area in which you are working
e. Verbally communicate with the member/non-member as to how the child's visit was prior to them leaving the facility
f. Be knowledgeable of all children's supervised programs

2. Provide a fun and safe environment for the child
a. Make sure all children are listed in the reservation book
b. Complete a thorough walk through of your respected area to ensure that it is clean and safe prior to your shift and at the end of your shift
c. read stories, sing songs, and be attentive to the children's needs
d. During the nice weather children will be brought outside to our playground
e. Ensure that all areas of children's supervised programs and equipment/toys are in good working order
f. Responsible to report unusual circumstances or problems to the Play Hut Manager, any department Manager, Director or MOD.
g. Communicate effectively with all Works staff, members/guest, and children during your shift

3. Coordination of parties and events
a. Communicate rules and club expectations to renters to ensure all regulations are met
b. Ensure that all required paperwork and payments are received, accurate, and complete.
c. Communicate inventory needs for parties and events alerting Program Director when supplies are low
d. Ensure work environment for each event is maintained in a professional and safe manner.
e. Coordinates with renters the following tasks: rental costs, staffing, event set up and clean up, technical needs, supplies, security, and other necessary requirements for individual events.
f. Coordinates with other department managers for organizational needs required for event
g. Brings new ideas regarding children's activities to the Program Director to ensure safety of participants, developmentally appropriateness, and final approval.
h. Inform and obtains confirmation from members/ non-members of all procedures and regulations as it pertains to their scheduled event.
i. May be required at times to run an event as directed by the Youth Program Manager.
j. Responsible for promoting current and new youth programs
k. Serves as a liaison between the program participants, and the appropriate youth program contact.
l. Runs a complete listing of program participants and creates an attendance sheet for each program daily. Files attendance sheets daily in appropriate location.

Qualifications
Experience Minimum Required
o Experience in planning, organizing and facilitating events and programs of all sizes and ages.

Experience Preferred/Desired
o One year child care experience and/or Early Childhood education

Education Preferred/Desired
o Courses in childhood education or recreation

Training Preferred/Desired
o First Aid Trained
o Conflict Resolution Training

Special Skills Minimum Required
o Must have exemplary interpersonal, organizational and time management skills

Licensure and/or Certifications Required
o CPR Certification within 3 months of hire
