Duties: A full-time position for a Clinical Coordinator A is available in the Laboratory for Cognition and Neural Stimulation (LCNS) in the Department of Neurology, under the direction of Dr. H. Branch Coslett. Current research topics include investigations of language and communication disorders, visuospatial processing, and mechanisms of neuroplasticity in healthy adults and patients with neurologic diseases. The principal methodologies of the laboratory are transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS)and transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS). These tools are used to explore structure-function relationships in the brain that pertain to cognition, investigate behaviorally relevant neuroplasticity in the adult intact or damaged brain, and develop stimulation-based neurorehabilitation therapies.
Position is contingent on continued funding.
Qualifications: Bachelors Degree, preferably in psychology, cognitive science, or communication sciences and disorders, with 1 to 3 years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience required. Prior experience with noninvasive brain stimulation, and neuroimaging valued but not required. Prior experience working with patients with communication disorders (i.e. aphasia), and experience administering language assessments is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications: Masters Degree in communication sciences and disorders, with CCC-SLP certification. Demonstrated knowledge of statistics and research methods, strong organizational ability, excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently under minimal supervision is highly desired
