The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Health at The Ohio State University is seeking a Research Scientist with expertise in intervention delivery and supervised supervision for innovative research studies. This role emphasizes the application of evidence-based interventions and the training and supervision of research personnel. We welcome candidates with a background in relevant areas, such as clinical psychology, behavioral health, or neuroscience who are skilled in intervention work, research methodology, and mentorship.
Key Responsibilities
Intervention Delivery
- Lead and implement evidence-based interventions as part of ongoing research studies, with a focus on high-quality and ethically guided participant interaction.
- Assess participant progress, adapt interventions as needed, and maintain comprehensive documentation of intervention outcomes.
- Work collaboratively with the research team to refine intervention protocols, ensuring they align with study objectives and emerging best practices.
Supervised Supervision and Training
- Provide structured supervision to research assistants, interns, or junior staff engaged in intervention delivery, ensuring adherence to study protocols.
- Offer mentorship and training to team members, promoting skill development in intervention techniques, data collection, and ethical research practices.
- Foster a supportive learning environment, encouraging team members to engage with diverse perspectives in clinical practice and research.
Data Analysis and Interpretation
- Collect and manage intervention-related data, applying data analysis skills to evaluate participant outcomes.
- Interpret results and collaborate with team members to prepare summaries and reports that contribute to study goals.
- Maintain data security and confidentiality in accordance with institutional guidelines.
Collaborative Research and Project Management

- Engage in regular team meetings to review intervention progress, troubleshoot challenges, and implement protocol adjustments as necessary.
- Contribute to research dissemination, assisting in manuscript writing, grant applications, and conference presentations as needed.

Required Qualifications
