Location: Elevance Health supports a hybrid workplace model (virtual and in-office) with PulsePoint sites used for collaboration, community, and connection. This includes remote work and 1-2 days in office per week. Candidates must reside within a 50-mile or 1-hour commute each way of a relevant Elevance Health location.

The Compliance Consultant is responsible for delivering and executing foundational compliance responsibilities that support the East Medicaid business team and management.

How you will make an impact:

  • Report, communicate, research laws at the advanced level, regulations, requirements, regulatory audits and/or exams.
  • Provide advanced level support to regulatory audits or exams, internal audits, accreditations, on-site reviews, risk assessments.
  • At the advanced level, analyze and extract regulatory data, documentation for compliance with requirements.
  • Participate in compliance monitoring to identify process gaps, validate compliance levels, map processes, draft corrective actions/remediation plans.
  • Conduct investigations, document findings, update stakeholders and leadership on developments, comply with notification requirements, ensure corrective actions are made.
  • Ability to travel may be required.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Requires a BA/BS and minimum of 3 years health care, regulatory, ethics, compliance or privacy experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

If this job is assigned to any Government Business Division entity, the applicant and incumbent fall under a 'sensitive position' work designation and may be subject to additional requirements beyond those associates outside Government Business Divisions. Requirements include but are not limited to more stringent and frequent background checks and/or government clearances, segregation of duties principles, role specific training, monitoring of daily job functions, and sensitive data handling instructions. Associates in these jobs must follow the specific policies, procedures, guidelines, etc. as stated by the Government Business Division in which they are employed.
