SUMMARY
The Controls Engineer I is responsible for the designing, developing, and implementing control systems for automated processes and equipment. The Controls Engineer III will work closely with other engineering teams to ensure the reliability, safety, and performance of control systems across various applications, including manufacturing, and industrial automation.
A successful candidate will have the knowledge and capability to interface with a cross-functional team of engineers to successfully meet customer expectations. The candidate will possess sufficient electrical hardware knowledge to support and execute troubleshooting processes with a project or commissioning team.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential Duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Design the power distribution and sizing control devices.
Calculate and document power requirements and short circuit current ratings of systems.
Design controls systems, PLCs or relays.
Program PLCs and HMIs as required.
Design pneumatic and hydraulic control systems.
Responsible for start-up debugging.
Ability to assess project requirements as well as complete them in a timely manner and within budget.
Responsible for adhering to domestic and international standards compliance.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree and four to seven (4-7) years' relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education/experience.
JOB SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
Working knowledge of the following software packages:
PLC Programming (RS Logix)
HMI Programming (PanelView)
Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
AutoCad/NanoCad of other equivalent 2D cad software
Knowledge of UL508A requirements.
