Description:
Job Title: Costpoint BI Consultant

Remote w2 Contract (12+ months)

Responsibilities:

• Design and deliver reusable and ad-hoc reports using Costpoint Business Intelligence (Cognos).
• Ensure streamlined reporting procedures, data accuracy, and security.
• Provide technical expertise and insights on Costpoint Business Intelligence (Cognos).
• Create and support financial dashboards, preparing and maintaining documentation including requirements, specifications, business use cases, and level of effort.
• Identify reporting needs based on system configuration and workflows, documenting requirements and testing new reports before implementation.
• Participate in initiatives or projects that support process improvements, leverage new system capabilities, or integrate data/other applications into existing systems.
• Build and maintain cooperative relationships with end-users, assisting with the deployment of business requirements through reliable business system configuration updates.
• Gather requirements and collaborate on design and definition of acceptance criteria.
• Engage peers in best practice sharing and identifying process improvements.
• Assist with requirements definition, design, unit testing, and integration.

Qualifications:

• 7+ years of business intelligence experience with advanced skills in Excel, Access, or related analytical tools for data mapping, extraction, transformation, and loading across various enterprise platforms (e.g., Workday).
• Strong background in Costpoint systems and Costpoint Business Intelligence.
• Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally and work effectively with numerous stakeholders and contributors, both internally and externally.
• Strong technical writing skills to clearly communicate process flows.
• Ability to work with graphical tools to illustrate workflows.
• 7+ years of work experience in Accounting, Business Intelligence, Finance, and IT.
