Job Title:

Cyber Lab Tech

Location:

Arlington, VA



Duties & Responsibilities:

• This position supports the provisioning, issuing, and maintenance of IT equipment and access to lab environments as well as troubleshooting assistance to the user community.
• Providing support as needed to lab staff in the tasks of provisioning and issuing equipment to end users, as well as maintaining inventory database.
• Provision and provide support for Virtual Private Network (VPN) or Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (e.g., Cisco, Citrix, VMWare, AWS) to users
• Inventorying of IT assets to include, but not limited to, hardware and software, including licenses
• Providing advice and assistance to users in accessing and using the lab and responds to users' needs in a timely fashion
• Administration and Maintenance of Apple products and Operating Systems

Minimum Requirements:

• U.S. Citizenship
• Must have an active DoD Secret clearance, TS/SCI clearance is preferred
• Must be able to obtain DHS Suitability
• Bachelor's degree and minimum of 2+ years of directly relevant experience in lab management or system administration
• Experience with multiple operating systems, to include Linux/Unix & MacOS
• Experience with imaging workstations (Apple products preferred)
• Experience with virtual desktops (Cisco, Citrix, VMware, AWS)
• Experience supporting VPNs
• Experience with writing technical procedures and standard operating procedures
• Virtualization and automation and optimization
• Ability to provide clear written and oral communication at all levels of the organization
• Experience establishing and maintaining good working relationships in all levels of the organization, including customers, external organizations, internal management, and peers

Other:

• HS Diploma and a minimum of 4-6 years of lab management or systems administration experience can substitute for the BS and a minimum of 2+ years of experience
• DoD 8140.01 IAT Level II is desired
