Position Summary

A Diecutting Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining the diecutting equipment along with quality control and working with dies. Safely and efficiently operate Young Shin Die Cutter in
a manner that consistently meets customer expectations while continuously improving productivity and lowering cost.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Setup, operate, and run die-cutting machines upon written instructions provided
  • Ensure each job is produced to customer specifications, meeting internal and external deadlines
  • Read and understand job tickets for stock and color specifications
  • Follow all safety policies and regulations, report any potential hazards, near misses or accidents immediately
  • Perform routine maintenance on the machines
  • Handle quality control of product produced
  • Handle and work with dies for machine
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications

Education, Skills, Experience & Abilities:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must have a minimum of 2 years' experience as a Press operator
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines under pressure
  • Ability to work independently as well as with a crew/team
  • Experience on Young Shin Diecutting Machine and Thomson Clamshell machines is a plus
Physical Demands & Work Environment

This job operates in a production environment. This role routinely uses standard equipment such as Presses and forklifts. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; and see.
