Position Overview:
The Tulane University Celia Scott Weatherhead School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine is seeking a dynamic and innovative individual to join our faculty and lead initiatives in workforce development with a special emphasis on increasing diversity and inclusion in public health practice. This new faculty position will develop and lead workforce initiatives to train the public health workforce and increase representation of Black men in this workforce. The faculty position will utilize community engagement strategies to identify and collaborate with diverse stakeholders and develop innovative curriculum and metrics to prepare highly skilled public health practitioners.
The ideal candidate will bring a strong commitment to health equity, public health practice and equity, diversity and inclusion and experience in developing programs and strategies that address workforce development needs. Experience working in state or local health departments is highly desirable but not required. We encourage candidates with a broad range of professional backgrounds, including non-academic backgrounds, to apply.
