We are looking for a Staff Accountant to join our growing Minneapolis based finance team located in its newly expanded, collaborative and innovative space in Downtown Minneapolis. The ideal candidate is someone who has corporate accounting experience with either the Big 4 or Big 8.

This is on a hybrid schedule, working 3 days in the office after training.

Summary:

We are a privately owned design-led, gift brand. We create luxurious products in the toy, baby and book categories that are loved around the world. We have an established and growing global customer base, looking to grow throughout North America, we continue to develop and improve the presence and awareness of our brand.

Responsibilities:

  • Performing month end close processes.
  • Completing landing costs, customs and duties transactions.
  • Preparing Account reconciliations.
  • Performing monthly, quarterly and annual tax filings in compliance with domestic and Canadian regulations.
  • Assisting global team in annual financial statement audit.
  • Assisting external tax team with annual corporate tax preparation.
  • Supporting daily customer service needs of Finance team.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
  • At least three years of related experience required
  • Proficient in: General accounting, month end close, journal entries, inventory reconciliation (highly desired), bank account reconciliation, debits and credits
  • CPA Certification is a plus but not required
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products; intermediate excel skills required.
