Overview:
The College of Arts & Sciences at Quinnipiac University is excited to announce a new hiring initiative in STEM inclusivity, which reflects our commitment to academic excellence and to fostering a more equitable future in STEM disciplines.
As part of this initiative, we are seeking a tenure-track faculty member in chemistry at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor. We are looking for candidates who are passionate about advancing STEM inclusivity and eager to lead efforts in curricular enhancement, as well as the development and implementation of innovative teaching strategies for introductory STEM courses across the College. The successful candidate will play a key role in improving retention and success rates among historically marginalized students in STEM majors, while also enhancing quantitative literacy for all students. In addition, this individual will conduct workshops and train faculty both within the College of Arts and Sciences and across other schools at Quinnipiac University.
Collaboration will be a vital part of this role, including working closely with a mathematics faculty member recently hired as part of the same initiative. The successful candidate will also engage with Quinnipiac's Innovations in Learning and Teaching Office to support broader educational initiatives.
The University's new 137,000 sq. ft. Science, Innovation, Technology, and Exploration (SITE) building, opening in fall 2025, will offer state-of-the-art teaching and research facilities for faculty in the sciences.
We encourage applicants from all backgrounds to apply. The appointment will begin in August 2025 and is a full-time, benefits-eligible, on-campus position.
