OPENINGS: 2 Positions Available

LOCATION: Green Bay Campus

STANDARD HOURS:

  • Position One: Approximately 16 hours/week. Monday and Tuesday from 7:30a.m to 3p.m., and Thursdays from 10a.m. to 2p.m. with flexibility to work other shifts/hours as needed.
  • Position Two: Approximately 16 hours/week to include the following: Monday through Thursday from 2p.m. to 6p.m. with flexibility to work other shifts/hours as needed.

MINIMUM STARTING PAY RATE: $15.00 per hour

POSITION SUMMARY

Provide exceptional customer service while supporting the General Studies department. Strong interpersonal skills, use of technology, and the ability to communicate in all forms are vital in this role. The ability to work independently and effectively under pressure while adapting to changing work priorities is essential. In this job share role, you will work collaboratively with the General Studies front desk, academic program specialist, and administrative teams to support students and the college community in their success.

  • Communicate with internal and external stakeholders using all identified modalities. Serve as the liaison between the customer and the appropriate individual regarding the General Studies Department to include General Education, GED, English Language Learner (ELL), Career Pathways Bridge (CPB) Programming and College-wide programs. Utilize resources and internal systems to resolve customer inquiries.
  • Conduct student outreach initiatives for student success, enrollment, and retention purposes. Refer students to appropriate college service. Communicate student progress to applicable college-wide entities as appropriate.
  • Create and update student information utilizing various NWTC systems. Process student enrollments. Perform student and/or faculty related system functions as applicable. Communicate class and wait list opportunities and/or availability.
  • Act as resource for students, faculty, administration, and staff. Maintain classroom needs such as access, restocking, and room scheduling, etc. Assist with faculty resource needs.
  • Process daily absences and/or class cancellations as they occur. Notify students of class cancellations and/or changes using multiple delivery systems.
  • Design and develop reports, correspondence, spreadsheets, and databases from verbal direction, rough draft, and/or supervisor's direction.
  • Conduct syllabi intake, tracking, and review process. Review each syllabi to ensure alignment with college standards for student success and transferability purposes. Communicate syllabi needs as appropriate.
  • Serve in a cross-functional capacity to assist teams within General Studies.
  • Maintain office supply inventories. Organize, clean, and restock general studies spaces.
  • Coordinate and communicate with all other office staff to ensure the sharing of information and highest quality of service to internal and external customers. Document and/or update team processes and procedures.
  • All other duties and projects as assigned.

SKILLS & ABILITIES

Education:Administrative Assistant or Office Assistant degree is preferred.

Experience:Minimum of 2 years working in an office environment.

**An equivalent combination of education and work experience may be considered

Computer Skills:

  • Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Comfortable with Outlook calendars, tasks and basic email function.
