Job Title:Global Gateways Program ManagerDepartment:International Affairs | Global Gateways

The Global Gateways Program Manager contributes to the international dimension of The Ohio State University by assisting the director of Global Gateways with operational oversight and support for the Ohio State Global Gateway offices, including the regional offices in China, India, and Brazil.

The position works closely with the director, program coordinator, and colleagues in International Partnerships on coordinating and facilitating delegation visits from the Gateway regions; developing Global Gateways policies, guidelines, and best practices; and tracking progress toward developing international partnership agreements in the Gateway regions. Monitors data and creates reports on performance metrics to evaluate impact of the Gateway offices; ensures operational compliance, efficiencies, and effectiveness; and closely collaborates with, but not limited to, International Affairs business operations, International Partnerships, Global Education, Strategic Enrollment, Alumni Association and other OIA units.

The position is responsible for monitoring expenses; assisting OAA's Business Operations with the internal and external audit of the Global Gateways; managing business paperwork and necessary filings for the affiliate Gateway offices; scheduling and leading project meetings; reviewing and approving procurement and travel requests for Global Gateways as needed; and assisting with external grant writing and administration from pre-award to project close- out for any Global Gateways grant programs.

Represents the Global Gateways at meetings with internal and external stakeholders and manages communications between stakeholders to ensure the smooth and effective functioning of the Global Gateways overall; position is responsible for ensuring compliance and maintaining timely, accurate and complete information flows.

This individual will assist the Director of the Global Gateways with outreach on new opportunities, initiatives and/or programming aligned with faculty, unit and/or college interests. Depending on the activity, this may include working with legal affairs, risk management, fiscal administration, export control, and intellectual property units. As needed, this individual will work with the Director on facilitating international partnerships in the Gateway regions.

Required:

A successful candidate will have a strong demonstrated interest in international relations/affairs; 6+ years of business experience in an administrative and operational capacity; ability to balance strategic leadership with detailed office management; excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to innovative problem solving; previous experience tracking, monitoring and evaluating data; experience in the development and implementation of business processes and procedures in a decentralized environment; sound understanding of the sensitivities involved in interacting in a cross-cultural context and skilled in inter-cultural relations; proven ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and exercise prudent judgement; proficient in MS Office skills; periodic international and domestic travel are required.

Desired:

6+ years of experience working with internationally focused teams and international relationship management; proven ability to engage internal and external stakeholders in building consensus in an environment of competing priorities; proven success in diagnosing and resolving complex issues and processes and recommending strategies for solving problems.

Additional Information:

The target hiring range for this job profile is $58,700-$77,200The actual salary paid to an individual will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to, education, years of experience, internal equity, etc.
