Government Relations Lead

The Government Relations Lead will play a critical role in advocating for the company's interests at various levels of government and within industry groups. This position requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of regulatory environments and the ability to develop and implement advocacy strategies that protect and promote the company's business interests and growth.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Advocacy and Representation:
  • Represent the company in interactions with government officials, regulatory agencies, and industry groups.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to influence public policy and regulatory decisions.
  • Advocate for the company's positions on legislative and regulatory issues.
  • Regulatory Analysis and Strategy:
  • Monitor and analyze regulatory changes in jurisdictions where the company operates.
  • Assess the impact of regulatory developments on the company's operations and business strategy.
  • Develop and implement advocacy strategies to address regulatory challenges and opportunities.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
  • Work closely with internal teams, including legal, compliance, and business units, to align advocacy efforts with business objectives.
  • Communicate regulatory and legislative developments to senior management and other stakeholders.
  • Prepare briefing materials, reports, and presentations on government relations activities.
  • Industry Engagement:
  • Participate in industry associations and coalitions to advance the company's interests.
  • Collaborate with industry peers to develop joint advocacy initiatives and strategies.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in Political Science, Public Policy, Law, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in government relations, public policy, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory processes and government structures.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute advocacy strategies.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
