The HRIS Specialist will help support a team of Workday professionals while serving as an invaluable thought partner to the Functional Owners to convert the business needs into designs through architecture best practices, principles and process excellence. This individual will continue to drive and evolve the automation of our HRIS processes and will work to continually improve the people experience, adoption, functionality, reporting and training within our expanding Workday environment. We are seeking a skilled and results-driven Global HRIS Specialist to support the management and optimization of our global Human Resource Information System (HRIS) with a focus on the user experience and serving as a subject matter expert and configuration partner for Talent, Learning, and Absence modules. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of HRIS platforms and processes, a passion for leveraging technology to enhance HR operations, and a focus on continuous improvement. This role requires collaboration with global HR teams to ensure seamless integration and alignment across all HR functions.

Specific Responsibilities:

HRIS System Management

  • Oversee the configuration, maintenance, and optimization of the HRIS platform (Workday) for Talent, Learning, and Absence modules.
  • Ensure accurate and up-to-date employee data related to talent management, learning and development, and absence management.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve system-related issues to ensure minimal disruption to HR processes.
Talent Management
  • Collaborate with HR teams to ensure the HRIS system supports talent acquisition, performance management, succession planning, and career development initiatives.
  • Analyze and generate reports on talent metrics, including employee performance, potential, and career progression.
  • Facilitate system improvements and process enhancements to drive better talent management outcomes.
Learning and Development
  • Manage the HRIS integration with learning management systems (LMS) and ensure seamless tracking of employee training, certifications, and development programs.
  • Work with HR and Learning & Development teams to define system requirements and optimize functionality related to employee learning records.
  • Develop and maintain reporting tools for tracking training completion rates, skills development, and learning effectiveness.
Absence Management
  • Ensure the HRIS system is configured to track employee absence (e.g., vacation, sick leave, and other time off) in alignment with global policies and local labor laws in partnership with local absence vendors.
  • Provide system support to ensure accurate leave balance calculations and timely reporting for absence trends.
  • Support the HR team with absence-related reports and analytics to drive better workforce planning.
System Enhancements & Support
  • Partner with HRIS vendors, IT, and internal stakeholders to implement new features, updates, and system improvements.
  • Conduct regular system audits to ensure data accuracy and compliance with HR policies and regulations.
  • Provide training and support to HR teams and other system users to maximize the effectiveness of the HRIS platform.
  • Assist with regression testing in all areas, controls and documentation alongside release of any new functionality or changes to current configuration environment
Global Collaboration
  • Work closely with HR teams across multiple regions to ensure the HRIS is aligned with global HR strategies and regional requirements.
  • Stay up to date with global HR trends, legal requirements, and best practices in HRIS management
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on Workday Talent and user experience.
  • Conducts training, including developing user procedures, guidelines, and documentation. Trains users on processes/functionality.
  • Serve as the liaison between the company and partners to assist in issue resolution.
  • Actively seek ways to improve business Workday processes and interactions
  • Aid and support the coaching and training of other team members to ensure all employees are confident in the use of Workday applications

Requirements:
    • 5 years of experience in Workday Talent Modules
    • Bachelor's degree in a related field
    • Strong expertise with Workday
    • Challenge traditional thinking and suggest innovative and new solutions
    • Analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as technical proficiency with HR systems
    • Ability to communicate effectively and work closely with team members and all levels of management in a professional manner.
    • Assist with additional project work and provide HR support to the team as needed.
    • Excellent time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines and execute.
    • Ability to proactively identify issues and drive resolution
    • Experience documenting detailed requirements, design documents, and workflows
    • Analyze and collaborate with the team to solve business challenges and develop continuous improvements to business and HR-related processes
    • Good conceptual and critical analytical capabilities

    • Excellent team working skills
    • Experience in HRIS/HCM application (Workday)
    • Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite
    • Effective operating in virtual environments
    • Strong technical proficiency required, including Microsoft Office products with Advanced Excel skills utilizing pivot tables, vlookup etc.

    The Salary range for this position is $76,050.00-$96,050.00.The specific Salary rate offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate's experience, their education, and the work location.
