Position Summary:Florida Atlantic University is seeking Instructional Designers- Boca Raton, FL.
The Instructional Designer supports our distance-learning efforts. The general duties for this position include assisting with the development of online courses that align with high-quality course standards, faculty support in Canvas LMS course design, instructional content development and quality assurance, including accessibility and copyright compliance, and other duties as assigned. Also responsible for assisting in faculty professional development training as well as coordinating multiple eLearning projects/tasks.
Summary of Responsibilities:
Collaborate with instructors to design, develop, and implement credit and non-credit online courses.
Ability to recognize, suggest, and implement improvements for online courses to meet the Quality Matters rubric standards.
Develop course outlines, documentation, assessment strategies, and maintain instructional design direction and development through all project phases.
Work well without direct supervision as well as in team environments.
Provide direction and support in content development to faculty, analyze needs, tasks, learning environment, and to develop learning objectives and requirements.
Assisting with the development of online courses that align with high-quality course standards.
Supporting faculty in Canvas LMS with course design, instructional content development and quality assurance, including accessibility and copyright compliance.
Other duties as assigned.
