The Instructor of Human Nutrition at Winthrop University is a nine-month, full-time, non-tenure track position teaching in the Department of Human Nutrition. The ideal candidate will be a dedicated and experienced individual who can teach introductory and intermediate courses in human nutrition, food science, or food service management. Special consideration will be given to individuals with experience in clinical nutrition and dietetics. Major responsibilities include:Candidates will teach 24 contact hours each year with courses including human nutrition, food science/food service management Advise and mentor students in the department and offer support to student organizations in the department when neededProvide academic advising to students enrolled in the human nutrition programsEngage in academic responsibility and professional service for the department, college, and university as neededDemonstrated ability to collaborate effectively and positively within and across departmentsOther duties as assigned by the department chair About Winthrop UniversityFounded in 1886, Winthrop University in Rock Hill, South Carolina, offers its 6,000-plus undergraduate and graduate students an educational experience that blends liberal arts, professional programs, global awareness, and civic engagement.
