Team Lead - IT Service Desk

Location: Austin, MN

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and provide guidance to Service Desk Technicians and Computer Operators.
• Ensure efficient and effective workflow, including incident escalation, within the Hormel service platform.
• Lead Problem Management efforts and meetings to identify root causes of known issues and communicate workarounds.
• Maintain accurate hardware and software license inventory and accounting records.
• Manage the printer and multi-function device fleet.
• Coach, mentor, and develop direct report staff.
• Facilitate staff training and professional development for Level 1 Service Desk Technicians.
• Handle various large-scale projects throughout the year, acting as the project manager and collaborating with relevant stakeholders.
• Compile weekly performance stats for the team and share recaps with upper management.
• Provide service desk coverage between 6 am and 7 pm on an as-needed basis (rotational on-call schedule).

Qualifications:

• Associate's degree in a technical field with 3+ years of IT Support experience.
• Demonstrated initiative and leadership skills.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and proven technical aptitude.
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Exceptional organizational abilities.
• Knowledge of basic networking, servers, and software applications.
• Proficiency working within Windows, Mac, Mainframe, and other software environments.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen, National, lawful permanent resident, or authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Preferred:

• ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) Certification or previous training.
• Experience in IT Service Management (ITSM) solutions.
• Previous employee supervision experience with a track record of elevating individual performance.
• Multilingual capabilities.
