Position Overview/Responsibilities for the IT Service Desk Technician:
- Provide first contact support for incoming requests to the service desk via various channels, ensuring courteous, timely, and effective resolution of end-user issues.
- Utilize remote tools and diagnostic utilities for troubleshooting.
- Record, track, and document the service desk incident-solving process.
- Prioritize incidents, problems, and service requests according to defined processes to meet defined SLAs.
- Contribute to the technician knowledgebase and provide suggestions for continual improvement.
Required Skills for IT Service Desk Technician:
- Knowledge of basic computer hardware, including desktops, laptops, mobile phones, tablets, peripherals.
- Experience with desktop operating systems including Windows 7, Windows 10, IOS, and Android.
- Extensive application support experience with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe, Mobile Iron, Internet Explorer, and Zoom.
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills, with a focus on rapport building, listening, and questioning skills.
- Familiarity with the fundamental principles of ITIL Service Support.
