Working hours for this position consist of 37.5 hours per week (7.5 hour period, exclusive of a ½ hour or 1 hour lunch.) These hours to be agreed upon between the supervisor and employee at the onset of employment. Attendance on campus required.
Summary:The Student Facilitator provides intensive case management services to historically underserved students who receive Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) "Cash Assistance" and/or Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) "Food Stamps" benefits while attending classes at RACC. The KEYS Program is a Workforce Development Employment and Training Program under the Department of Human Services. The KEYS Student Facilitator will work with students to orient them to the KEYS Program services and resources, including child care subsidies, education/training funds and much more. In addition, this individual will guide KEYS students through the RACC enrollment process, support the student as they navigate the college experience through successful completion.

Education and/or Experience:Required
Preferred
To perform this job successfully, an individual should be very comfortable operating computers especially being proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word software.
Communication Skills:Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondences, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the College.
Reasoning Ability:Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Mathematical Skills:Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
