POSITION: Lead Systems Engineer
LOCATION: 6555 State Highway 161, Irving, TX 75039
JOB DUTIES: Serve as a key member of the Platform Engineering team and assist in the delivery of solutions and services within the Data Platform architecture. Implement cloud-based data platform solutions which have high availability, low latency, high performance, high efficiency and optimal cost. Works with the engineering team and preferred suppliers/partners to strengthen DevOps processes and drive the automation of Data Analytic platforms. Identifies the automation opportunities and builds PaaC/IaaC pipelines and deploy using CI/CD tools like Github, Bitbucket, etc. Provides "level 4"support for incidents and tickets escalated from Platform Operations team. Works with the engineering team and preferred suppliers/partners to implement cloud-based (cloud native) data analytic platform solutions on premises and on cloud platforms, data storage platform solutions for OLAP and analytics workloads, including data lake and date warehouse profiles. Implement cloud-based (cloud native) advanced analytics and machine learning platform solutions to generate insights. Works with the data management team, in accordance with their standards, to effectively replicate, integrate and govern data assets which have been loaded into enterprise data hub. Works within SAFE Agile framework as a scrum team member, taking on features and user stories, to help deliver on sprint team goals. Attends daily stand ups. Collaborates with teams in delivery planning. Works with the teams on upcoming features to identify risks and dependencies. Telecommuting allowed from Irving, TX metro area. 10% of travel required for internal workshops, conferences in the United States.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or a related field and Eight (8) years of experience in the job offered, as Service Reliability Engineer, Infrastructure Automation Engineer, Cloud Architect, or a related occupation.
