Volt is hiring for an on-site Lighting Board Operator in Durham, NC.

As a Lighting Board Operator you will:
Work together with the Lighting Director and input information for the lighting console programming and assist with installation.

• Assist the Lighting Director with assigning fixture numbers and LED addresses (in console and on paper)
• Work with the Lighting Director and team regarding the best way to control groups of fixtures in all studio areas
• Assist in the Creation of "Magic Sheets" for all studio set areas, and instruct the team in their use.
• Programming the lighting console, including managing control signal distribution throughout the studio, and relay panels or dimmer racks.
• Ability to create DMX fixture profiles in the lighting console as needed.
• Assist Lighting Director and team on creating color pre-sets and Program LED set lighting per customer preference.
• Train on the operation of the console
• Work is closely supervised. Follows specific, detailed instructions and guidelines. Solves problems of limited scope and complexity.

This is a short-term contract opportunity from 1/6-1/16 in Durham, NC. Monday-Friday 8:00am-6:00pm.

The ideal candidate will have:
• Minimum of 2 years of experience programming lighting boards in a production or theater environment
• Experience programming ETC Element 2 lighting console
• Ability to take direction and work with a team
• Formal education not required, but relevant training and experience considered

Pay range: $25.00-$27.00/hr Depending on Experience
*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
