Litigation Legal Assistant

Beacon Hill Legal is seeking an experienced Litigation Legal Assistant for a reputable law firm in Dallas. This opportunity is direct hire, on-site, and full time.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and format briefs, pleadings, correspondence, and other legal documents
• Conduct conflict checks and process new client/matter requests
• File legal documents with state and federal courts (both electronic and traditional filings)
• Proofread documents for accuracy and completeness before distribution or filing
• Maintain client files electronically
• Manage attorney calendars through Outlook
• Prepare expense reimbursement requests for assigned attorneys
• Assist visitors, paralegals, and attorneys whose assistants are absent, and handle overflow work from other assistants
• Organize and coordinate travel arrangements

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years' of experience as a Litigation Legal Assistant
• Ability to accurately format documents to firm standards, including tables of contents and authorities
• Experience with state and federal court filings
• High school diploma required; college degree preferred but not mandatory
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel; familiarity with PowerPoint
• Experience with document management systems and docketing/calendaring software; Aderant and InTapp is a plus
