Maintenance Manager

Salary: $90,000.00 USD Annually - $110,000.00 USD Annually
Description: Our manufacturing client is currently seeking a Maintenance Manager for their plant in Warren PA. This position will provide leadership, direction and supervision to maintenance staff with the objective of performing, planning and directing the electrical and mechanical servicing and efficient maintenance of production machinery and equipment, physical plant, utilities, and grounds in accordance with all safety and regulatory compliance and company policies and procedures. It is the Maintenance Manager's responsibility to drive cost reductions through machine up time, reliability, energy reduction and maximized wrench time.

This job will have the following responsibilities:

• Comply with all safety rules for self and others.
• Develops, schedules, apply resources and controls the preventive maintenance program to maintain production machinery and equipment in proper working condition.
• Implement, monitor and manage performance standards pertaining to Safety, SQF, Labor laws, equipment reliability/efficiency and equipment up time.
• Perform, supervise, inspect and coordinate activities, by both company maintenance and outside contractors, to ensure that highest standards of workmanship and safety are maintained.
• Prepare scope/specification for all major task/project to be completed by either contractor or Company maintenance.
• Responsible for managing the Work Order database and PEM; used to collect and analyze data to improve safety, plant equipment reliability, production efficiency and achieve cost reductions.
• Ensures proper maintenance of facility machinery, building, grounds and security.
• Ensure inventories of maintenance material, supplies, and repair parts are maintained at required levels by initiating requisitions for purchase; periodically reviews inventory for proper upkeep at plant facilities.
• Responsible for electrical and mechanical equipment layouts and the modification of facilities within the plant.
• Ensures Food Safety, Good Manufacturing Practices and ISO Quality System processes, and training are maintained.
• Manage towards metrics; wrench time, MEFF, spending, mean time between failures.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Maintenance or Engineering; 5-7 years of relative experience.
• Green belt certified preferred.
• Prior knowledge of machinery used in plastic film manufacturing or equivalent.
• Knowledge of controls and mechanics of automated process equipment, robot arms and conveyors.
• Excellent skills in coordinating efforts of diverse personnel.
• Ability to interact effectively with senior management and manufacturing groups.
• Knowledge required to assist in making final decisions regarding departmental procedures, work schedules and the ability to make recommendations regarding hiring and firing of manufacturing personnel.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
• Ability to train and develop subordinates.
• Thorough knowledge of, and experience with, records maintenance relating to the expectations of regulatory agencies, such as: OSHA, SQF and ISO auditors, relative to plant operation and maintenance responsibilities, Arc Flash, BSME, BSEE, BSIE, BSCE, NFPA and ANSI
