The Maintenance Specialist is responsible for the repairs and maintenance for all facilities to allow WSFS Bank facilities to operate at an efficient, safe, and secure manner for Customers and Associates. The incumbent will perform facility maintenance (both corrective and preventative) on building fixtures, hardware, and equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and economical operation.

The incumbent is expected to participate in the facilities on-call rotation outside of regular working hours (5pm - 8am) to ensure the effective and efficient management of facility-related issues.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Plans and performs quarterly visits to all Corporation Facilities.
  • Inspects the conditions of the facilities.
  • Inspects for compliance with the Americans with Disabilities act (ADA).
  • Recommends in writing the needed repairs and/or required maintenance.
  • Develops a plan to complete any of the above recommendations.
  • Plans and schedules their own daily work in priority order to maximize completion in the time allowed.
  • Plans and performs any small renovation/construction projects up to $20,000, such as erecting walls, demolition of walls, repair/replacement of ceilings, etc. as needed.
  • Plans and performs wiring and cabling for both voice and data communications.
  • Assists the Administrative Services Officer III on the input to the Telephone PBX computer and, when needed, can serve as a back-up.
  • Supervises and/or assists in developing the plan for and supervising large moves or after hours moves.
  • Plans, prepares, and paints all facilities as needed and in accordance with the Facilities Maintenance Program.
  • Plans and performs electrical repairs such as light switches, receptacles, ballasts, etc. as needed.
  • Plans and performs small plumbing repairs as needed.
  • Plans and performs repairs on or refinishes to furniture and equipment.
  • Moves any furniture, boxes, equipment, records, etc. as needed.
  • Delivers and picks up items as needed.
  • Assists with snow removal at the Main Office.
  • Exhibits flexibility to perform any other needed tasks as requested by Supervisor.
  • Continual contact and interaction with all Corporate Associates to ascertain the scope of the needed repairs/maintenance/etc. and to complete the task.
  • Daily contact with Supervisor and Department Associates to establish work priorities and discuss needed maintenance.
  • Regular interaction with vendors, tenants, and customers to procure needed materials, equipment, etc. to complete a particular job.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Must have a high school diploma or its equivalent.
  • Must have the ability to perform minor electrical and plumbing repairs.
  • Must have knowledge of a building's HVAC system.
  • Must have the ability to work with a PC and understand Word, Excel, etc.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Must be able to provide own work tools.
  • Must have excellent oral and written communication.
  • Must have demonstrated knowledge and skill in the termination of communication lines.
  • Must have demonstrated knowledge and skill in the termination of cables on various patch panels or boards.
  • Must have demonstrated knowledge and skill in using high speed cable (Category 5).
  • Must have the ability to understand directions from supervisor.
  • Must be highly motivated and a self-starter.
  • Must be organized and able to schedule their own daily work.
