JOB SUMMARY
As a Maintenance Technician, you play a critical part of the organization performing maintenance services and repairs in the areas of plumbing, carpentry, painting, machine/equipment servicing, welding, electrical, HVAC, security, utilities, fire protection, pollution control, grounds, and improvement projects as needed.
- Follows all company safety precautions and procedures
- Reporting any issues to maintenance supervisor or management
- Ability to read and understand different placards and hazmat classifications
- Mechanically inclined, basic welding or pipe fitting experience preferred
- Climbing ladders and working on top of railcars 25ft off the ground
- Offloading of hazardous materials from railcars into bulk tanks
- Coordinating with production, fleet dispatch, procurement and inventory control on railcar quantities and offloads
- Performing day to day maintenance for the plant. Examples would be making new chemical hoses, replacing broken valves and doing preventative maintenance on all our equipment.
- Working with maintenance supervisor on larger projects throughout the facility
- Operation of storm and wastewater systems
- Coordinating with various outside contractors
- Learn how to maintain boilers, cooling towers, air compressors and pumps
