Job Summary:
We are looking for a Tax Manager to join our Energy team that is part of our Complex Property Tax department. This role is remote within the US and reports to Complex Tax management.
Key Responsibilities:
Project management with a focus on client service and retention
Oversees the execution of project scope as performed by consultants and determined by supervisors
Responsible for complex analysis
May be involved with account settlement under the supervision of leadership
Protect, renew, and expand existing clients. Uphold standards for service
Respond to all client requests
Clearly communicate project status and information requests to the client in a way that promotes confidence in Altus' work product
Communicate analysis results and status to supervisors and clients
Ensure all systems are updated for projected revenue and timing, and staffing of personnel
Execution of project scope through implementation of advanced functions, automation, and other technologies as needed
Clear understanding of valuation concepts and support needed to present a case to an assessor
Review the work product of others to ensure work is performed in accordance with Altus standards and project scope
Key Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree (Accounting, Finance, or other business-related field preferred, but not required)
Ability to supervise others in a positive manner and prioritize subordinates' work loads
Complex property tax experience required, energy or renewable specific experience preferred
Previous compliance experience
Valuation experience specific to special use industrial facilities, both real and personal preferred, including all approaches to value
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
Ability to multitask while meeting tight, client-driven and jurisdiction deadlines, excellent organizational skills, attention to detail
