As a Mechanical Designer a typical day might include the following:
1. Maintain and update technical documentation including:
a. Product Configurations
b. Bills of Materials
2. Work to develop and maintain accurate master data
3. Prepare CAD drawings and other project documentation from detailed markups.
4. Participate as a team member for product enhancements, and sustaining ECOs.
5. Complete assigned work within timelines and budgets with a high level of quality.
6. Coordinate changes to existing designs.
7. Assist mechanical engineers in prototype construction and functional testing.
8. Develop and maintain an acceptable level of expertise in SEL and industry design practices.

- Associate degree or equivalent experience
- Experience in word processing, spreadsheets, and database entry
- Knowledge of bills of materials
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with spreadsheet programming (Microsoft Excel)
- Experience with AutoCAD, Adobe Illustrator, SolidWorks
- Programming expertise
- Database management skills

Pay Range Data:Mechanical Designer I $44,000 - $67,000. Our salary ranges are determined by job, responsibility, and location. We base our starting pay offer and title on location and job-related factors such as candidate experience, training, knowledge, and skills.
