Excentium, Inc. is a Service-Disabled Veteran owned small business (SDVOSB) that provides Cyber Security Engineering, Information Assurance (IA), management, Certification and Accreditation (C&A), and other IT services to government and commercial organizations.

We have an opportunity for a Network Administrator II supporting one of our government customers in San Antonio, TX.

MINIMUM CLEARANCE LEVEL: Secret
CITIZENSHIP: US Citizenship
LOCATION: San Antonio, TX.

Position Description:
Excentium Inc. is seeking a Network Adminstrator to join our team. The Network Administrator will administer and oversee the implementation, organization, and troubleshooting of the network, hardware, and underlying communications protocols. Oversees the work of technical support staff as they manage network hubs, routers, and servers.

Functional Responsibility:

  • Design, test, upgrade and integrate new or existing information networks such as local area networks (LAN), Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN), Wide Area Networks (WAN), Voice over IP (VoIP), intranets, extranets, and other communications networks in accordance to the organization's business requirements.
  • Document all aspects of the engineering process as it relates to build and configuration, testing, and deployment of networks.
  • Coordinate changes such as implementation of new networks, upgrades or version increments to existing networks with network administrators and stakeholders.
  • Plans, coordinates, and implements security measures to safeguard new and existing networks.
  • Performs network modeling, analysis, and planning.
  • Coordinates with architecture, evaluates new and emerging network technologies, and make recommendations for selection of these products.
  • Assists network administrators with complex troubleshooting issues and if needed coordinates vendor engagements to assists in troubleshooting efforts.
  • May provide day-to-day operational or administrative duties for deployed networks in lab or production environments.
  • Possesses and applies expertise on multiple complex work assignments.
  • Ability to work with other senior technical and user staff to complete projects.
  • Operates with appreciable latitude in developing methodology and presenting solutions to problems.

Educational Requirements/ Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 6 years of relevant work experience in similar roles
  • Bachelor's degree and/or Equivalent work experience

One of the following IAT Level II Certifications:
  • CCNA-Security
  • CySA+ **
  • GICSP
  • GSEC
  • Security+ CE
  • CND
  • SSCP

And one of the following CE certifications:
  • CompTIA A+ CE Certification
  • CompTIA Security+ CE Certification
  • CompTIA Network+ CE Certification
