Position Summary:
The NDP Toolmaker will support the Stamping business unit and will be responsible for supporting the building of precision tooling, fixtures, gages, and other forms of tooling using effective practices. This person will also be responsible for troubleshooting tooling to meet part requirements.
Responsibilities
NPD Toolmaker Responsibilities:
- Build quick turn development tooling on time
- Troubleshoot tooling issues and determines best solutions
- Work closely with others to ensure best practices are used during the build of all tooling
- Monitor and assist in the refinement of all toolroom processes
- Develop CAM programs from CAD generated modes
- Set up and operate CNC and manual toolroom equipment to produce high quality precise tooling components and other piece parts
QualificationsNPD Toolmaker Position Requirements: - Technical degree or equivalent machine tool experience
- 5 years building or maintaining precision tooling, perferrably experience in deep draw technology
- Advanced theory of cutting and forming, ability to troubleshoot by reading a progressive strip, and knowledge of the theory of cutting and forming in the stamping process
- Good troubleshooting skills
- Ability to read and comprehend blueprints
- Mechanical aptitude
NPD Toolmaker Preferred Requirements: - Proficient in SolidWorks
- Medical Device manufacturing
- Progressive Tooling Experience
- Basic skills and knowledge of Lean Principles and toolroom process workflow
