Job Summary
The Opportunity
We are seeking a 40-hour, Nurse Practitioner to support our Outpatient Cardiology team. Weekly schedules consist of 32 hours of clinical, patient-facing time and 8 hours of administrative time. This clinic is open Monday-Friday and offers flexible start times between 8:00 am and 9:00 am and end times between 4:30pm and 5:00 pm. Our clinic is located on the Newton Wellesley Hospital main campus at 2014 Washington St, Newton, MA 02462.
The Cardiovascular Nurse Practitioner is responsible for providing exceptional direct diagnostic and therapeutic patient care to the highest standards of the organization as part of a multidisciplinary team including 10 Cardiologists and 3 other APPs. The Nurse Practitioner participates in the delivery of patient care in the outpatient setting by performing initial and follow-up visits, as well as autonomous performance of approved clinical functions.
The Cardiovascular Nurse Practitioner cultivates a patient centric environment which focuses on the whole individual inclusive of physical, psychosocial, spiritual and functional needs of the patient and family. The NP acts as a resource and collaborates with clinical staff and other hospital and health care disciplines for promotion of health to the optimal level of wellness for patients, families, and the community. This individual works in accordance with state law and hospital regulations, hospital policy, protocols and clinical pathways and may provide autonomous as well as team-based care.
