Salary: $18.00 USD Hourly - $20.00 USD Hourly
Description: One of our largest clients has an opening for a Patient Services Representative to join their team in the Seattle area! The Patient Services Representative will work across 3 locations in Edmonds, Northgate, and Madison Center. This position will primarily be located within the North clinics of Edmonds and Northgate.

The Patient Services Representative plays a crucial role in the smooth functioning of the clinics. They handle front office responsibilities, ensuring efficient patient flow and excellent customer service. This position contributes directly to the overall patient experience and clinic operations.

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm

This job will have the following responsibilities:

  • Answering Phone Calls:
    • Professionally and respectfully handle incoming calls from patients, providers, and other stakeholders.
    • Direct calls to the appropriate team members or departments.
    • Provide accurate information and assist with scheduling appointments.
  • Intake of Incoming Referrals:
    • Receive and process referrals from other healthcare providers.
    • Ensure timely communication and coordination with patients and referring offices.
    • Document referral details accurately in the system.
  • EPIC (Electronic Health Record System):
    • Familiarity with EPIC software is essential.
    • Use EPIC to schedule appointments, update patient records, and manage referrals.
    • Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure accurate documentation.
  • Handling Faxes:
    • Receive and distribute faxes promptly.
    • File and organize faxed documents appropriately.
    • Communicate relevant information to the clinical team.
  • Check-In and Check-Out of Patients:
    • Greet patients as they arrive for appointments.
    • Verify patient information, insurance details, and appointment times.
    • Collect necessary paperwork and update patient records.
    • Efficiently check patients out after their appointments.
  • Fax Drive:
    • Maintain the fax drive system.
    • Monitor incoming faxes and distribute them to the appropriate recipients.
    • Ensure confidentiality and accuracy in handling sensitive information.
Qualifications & Requirements:
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Front Office Experience: Minimum of 1 year working in a front desk or administrative role.
  • EPIC Experience:Proficiency in using EPIC for appointment scheduling, patient records, and referrals.
  • Punctuality and reliability with excellent attendance.
  • Professional demeanor and a positive attitude.
  • Team player who collaborates well with colleagues.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing clinic needs.
  • Efficient and attentive to patient care.
  • Genuine concern for patient well-being.
