Job Summary

The Payroll Practitioner is responsible for managing and processing payroll functions accurately and efficiently. This role involves calculating employee wages, processing deductions, and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations. The practitioner will maintain payroll records, address employee inquiries, and collaborate to ensure timely and precise payroll delivery. Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and proficiency with Payroll software are essential for success in this position.

This is an on-campus position.

Job Duties

* Processes/maintain web time entry approvals/approval ques for all full time, part time, and temporary employees * Update dates and contract language for all adjunct pay in Faculty Load and Compensation (FLAC). Balance and run FLAC reports to process in payroll * Process/Update payroll for final reports * Send payroll deduction reports to various vendors inside and outside of RSCC * Upload bank files for direct deposit * Reconciles various general ledger accounts and balance to vendor records * Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

* HS diploma required associate degree preferred.
* Minimum of 3 years related work experience in modern office environment payroll/accounting experience preferred.
* Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word. Banner experience preferred.

Ability to work independently to solve problems and handle a variety of complicated assignments simultaneously.
Demonstrates ability to work cooperatively with others to provide quality customer service and guidance related to adherence to policies and procedures.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
Ability to handle a high level of stress and meet deadlines.
Able to work some weekends and evenings as needed for deadlines.
Strong time management skills.
Ability to organize and prioritize work appropriately and independently on a daily basis.
