Position Summary
Department Description:
The Firm Accounting team within the Corporate Services group is part of the Global Technology & Services (GTS) department. Firm Accounting is responsible for the daily Finance Operations across the entire firm, moving money, making payments, and maintaining firm-wide accounting entries.
The systems within the Firm Accounting domain comprise the following:
- PeopleSoft Financials - ERP GL, AP, AR/Billing, Projects, Asset Management
- SAP Ariba - Procure to Pay, Source to Contract, Supplier Lifecycle Management
- SAP Concur - Expenses
- Blackspark - Timesheets
- SWIFT and Banking integration services
A key component are the integrations between all these systems and other systems as well. A major part of the overall functionality of these systems is reliant on the smooth running of myriad complex and sophisticated integration processes.
Position Summary:The person fulfilling this position must be a self-starter able to work in a heterogeneous environment involving company employees, external contractors, software/hardware vendors, and project consultants.
The primary skillset of this role is PeopleSoft technologies, but they must also be able to work with other systems and ideally have a background in Web Services and other integration technologies.
The scope of the work will involve the following:
- Coordinate Daily Support activities with the onsite/offshore Application Maintenance Support (AMS) team.
- Working with the AMS team, coordinate investigations of Level 2 issues when they arise.
- Troubleshoot issues as deeply as possible.
- Lead the Knowledge Management for the team.
- Gain a technical understanding of all the business flows across the Firm Accounting systems in order to facilitate timely escalation.
- Be a key point of contact for the administration of Security, especially that within PeopleSoft, and the custom security frameworks which have been developed.
- Highly desirable to have support experience working with various banking integrations, and SWIFT platform.
- Be aware of the entire spectrum of work that Firm Accounting does, from support through to development.
It is important that this person learn about specific TCG business concepts, in order to properly support the business users which are out customers.

Qualifications Requirements:Education & Certificates
- Bachelor's degree, required.
- Concentration in Computer Science, Engineering or Information Systems, preferred.
Professional Experience
- At least 4 years of overall relevant experience, required
- Experience working with PeopleSoft, ideally in a Financial Services context, preferred
- Good experience at administering Financial Systems.
Competencies & Attributes
- Support, troubleshoot, and maintain computer servers and networks.
- Batch Processing in PeopleSoft.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues.
- Security Administration in PeopleSoft.
- Be able to check objects in App Designer, though not create a working application.
- Have a basic idea of PeopleCode, but not expected to create actual programs.
- Familiar with SQL, preferably in Oracle database, and be able to write queries.
- Able to modify PeopleSoft Queries, and understand those already written.
- Have some background or knowledge in the PeopleSoft Financials application side. Ideally in the modules: AP, CM, Banking, Treasury, AR, BI, PC, AM, or GL.
- Basic technical development understanding of PeopleSoft.
- Have exposure to or supported an Expense System.
- Have exposure to or supported procure to pay business processes.
- Be able to communicate fluently with accounting business users.
- Good knowledge on complex Excel spreadsheets and be able to troubleshoot them.
- Some background or experience in Knowledge Management or publishing KM materials.
Benefits/CompensationThe compensation range for this role is specific to Washington, D.C. and takes into account a wide range of factors including but not limited to the skill sets required/preferred; prior experience and training; licenses and/or certifications.
The anticipated base salary range for this role is $125,000 - $140,000.

Additionally, the hired professional may also be eligible to participate in an annual discretionary incentive program, the award of which will be dependent on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
