Description
The University of Chicago's Department of Family Medicine seeks early to mid-career family physician scientists with a demonstrated focus on reproductive health research in the United States and skills in implementation/dissemination science. The Department and its Reproductive Health Outcomes and Disparities (RHOADS) Research Group are committed to rigorous research to improve reproductive outcomes and reduce racial and socioeconomic disparities. These full-time faculty members will dedicate the majority of their effort to their research program within RHOADS, while contributing to the educational mission, such as by teaching medical students or residents. Faculty mentorship, lab/office space, and research infrastructure will be provided by the Department, creating a rich environment with both senior reproductive health research faculty and practicing family physicians. Compensation (including a generous package of fringe benefits) is dependent upon qualifications.
Prior to the start of employment, qualified applicants must: 1) have a medical doctorate or equivalent, 2) have completed at least 2 years of post-doctoral research training, 3) hold or be eligible for medical licensure in the State of Illinois, and 4) be BC/BE in Family Medicine.
