The Division of Microbiology, Tulane National Primate Research Center has an exciting opportunity for a Post-Doctoral Fellow. Under the direction and supervision of the Principal Investigator and assistance of the Laboratory Supervisor, this individual will work in active research projects that investigate mucosal immunity during HIV infection and aging using the nonhuman primate model as well as development of immunotherapy including CAR-T cells. The projects involve molecular biology, immunology and tissue culture work. The candidate is also responsible for supervising and training other research laboratory staff, developing and implementing new techniques and communicating study results effectively. The candidate should be self-motivated and a recent graduate with a PhD, MD/PhD or MD degree with strong academic training in either cell biology, molecular biology, immunology, or infectious diseases.
