An NIH-funded postdoctoral position focused on the impact of estrogens and estrogen receptors on aging hippocampal memory system is available in the neuroendocrinology laboratory of Dr. Jill Daniel at the Brain Institute at Tulane University. The current position is funded by a grant from the National Institute on Aging that aims to understand how short-term midlife estradiol administration can exert long-term impacts on brain and memory. Research is conducted in rodent models and experimental approaches used in the lab include behavioral analyses, fiber photometry, biochemical and molecular assays, and viral-vector mediated and pharmacological neural manipulations.
