Overview

The position requires a self-motivated, proactive individual with the ability to organize, problem-solve, coordinate and administer multiple assignments concurrently. The successful candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced, growing small business environment as a team player performing a variety of functions to negotiate, administer, monitor and track all procurement activity. The Procurement Agent must be customer focused and possess: (1) the ability to develop innovative solutions to a variety of complex procurement challenges; (2) excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills to accurately document and report findings and new concepts to a variety of audiences; (3) excellent interpersonal and leadership skills to influence and guide employees, managers, customers and other external parties; and (4) the ability to organize, schedule, and coordinate multiple work phases.
Responsibilities
- Process and complete complex purchase orders and subcontracts; determine prices from available suppliers, which meet cost, quality and schedule guidelines
- Issue RFP/RFQs to supports various programs and proposals
- Manage and track procurement activity that meet specifications, quality, budget, and schedule
- Ensure all procurement actions are in accordance with applicable requirements (FAR, DFARS, CPSR, AS9100, etc.)
- Close out purchase orders upon receipt and final payment of all deliverable items
- Research and maintain available supplier lists
- Maintain current accurate records and files of all vendor agreements and related procurement records
- Coordinates with Accounts Payable to resolve any problems to ensure prompt payment
QualificationsEducation/Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, or related field preferred.
- A minimum of 3-5 years of related DoD purchasing experience required.
- Ability to perform a variety of general tactical duties as required to support purchasing activities.
- Must have strong PC skills and be proficient with Excel, Word, etc.
- Government contract accounting preferred.
- Costpoint/ Deltek experience strongly preferred.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance.
- U.S. Citizenship is required.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Regular i3 hours are 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Monday-Friday, however, additional hours may be required on occasion. Regular and punctual attendance is required.
